The Artist

Laurie Bishop Bogue

Laurie Bishop Bogue has always loved the beauty and intrigue of abstract art.  After leaving the corporate world and the anchor desk at CNN, she thought now or never and picked up a palette knife and began her journey as an artist.

Her technique is refreshingly unique.  Spiritual passion plays a key role in the development of her work.  Laurie has adopted Georgia as her home state, however her roots in Florida are depicted in many of her paintings as she frequently incorporates soothing water and nature scenes.

While Laurie is primarily self taught, she has also studied with Melissa Payne Baker, Lauren Adams and Laura Lansford as well as collaborating with other local artists.

Her work is currently represented at The Bird and the Bee in Smyrna, Ga.  She was also a featured artist at Ann Jacob Gallery, Highlands, NC.   Many of her pieces are held in private and corporate collections throughout the country. In addition to this website, she has a Facebook page  (laurie bishop bogue) or you can email her at www.laurie@lbishopbogue.com  Some highlights of her young career are listed below.
